Board Guideline Reported to OECTA

OECTA and the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) have started a dialogue regarding the post-lockout period. The board has advised OECTA of the following Board directions:

1. EQAO - Start between June 9-12 complete by June 20, Grade 3 and 6 teachers will get occasional teacher support for one half-day (code 96).

2. Report Cards - Ensure that reports are fully and properly completed, and processed in accordance with the Provincial Report Card, Grades 1-8. Sent home by June 27. Online at www.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/document/curricul/osr/osr.html

3. Report Cards - Site Administrators (not Principals or Vice-Principals) Half-day provided (code 92), another half-day available, if required.

4. Running Records - Canceled for the remainder of the school year, as an expectation for the whole class.

5. Teacher Evaluations - Deemed to be complete, except for those who have received an unsatisfactory rating.

6. Bill 28 - There is no provision to extend the school year. Therefore, local priorities will be set by the Principal in consultation with the staff.
